Too many print and fulfillment vendors were historically required by client to preform annual work. 

  • Starting count was 106 print vendors and 7 fulfillment vendors
  • Inventory management and supplier management was consuming 17 FTEs

 

Our Solution

 Defined requirements for current and future state, sent RFP to all vendors, and changed operational roles and responsibilities

 

results  

  • Reduced number of commercial print vendors from 106 to 3, and fulfillment vendors from 7 to 1.
  • Streamlined headcount from 17 to 7, repurposing 10 FTE to do more value added work
  • Saved $8 million over the duration of the five-year contracts
